Apple is on the verge of unveiling details about the iPhone 7 including its specs and release date. However, rumor mills have not ceased churning arrays of speculations around the purported smartphone in the midst of new leaks surfacing online.

Rumors are running rampant that Apple is dumping the standard 3.5mm headphone jack from their iPhone 7. Apple could reportedly be eyeing wireless earphones or earbuds in a bid to make more profit by selling their own brand dubbed, "Apple Earpods."

A slew of recently surfaced photo leaks show that the bottom of the iPhone 7 variants does not feature the headphone jack. Meanwhile, others speculated that the Cupertino-based tech firm will replace the 3.5mm headphone jack with stereo speakers, but a new leak from Nowhereelse.fr (via Forbes) have debunked the possibility of any such setup.

If recent reports are anything to go by, the speaker grilles on the bottom of Apple iPhone 7 is nothing more than cosmetic housing for the microphone. Aside from having to use wireless earphones and headphones, it looks like users would have no choice but to put up with iPhone's mono speaker.

Amid these not-so-exciting revelations through leaks, a new Space Black color option is rumored to be in the offing, according to reports on Mashable.

A Netherlands based website, TechTastic uploaded numerous photos of the iPhone 7 Space Black color sporting a physical home button on the front end of the smartphone. It was previously speculated that a new soft blue color variant for the iPhone 7 could also be in prospect.

As oodles of leaks continue to surface, it gets harder to keep track of what could be true and what could be a mere speculation.

It looks like zealous iPhone fans across the world will just have to wait until Apple either confirms or denies these rumors.

Apple has opted to remain mum regarding the iPhone 7's release date, specs and features until now, but if the tech giant follows its release pattern, the iPhone 7 is likely to be officially revealed in a few weeks.
