'Overwatch' Glitch Allows Player To Wander Around Nepal Map

By

A glitch was discovered in the famous game by Blizzard, "Overwatch". A support hero, Mercy, is being used in order to access across the entire Nepal map.

The first-person shooter game launched by Blizzard Entertainments last May for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation4, basically pitches a team of six heroes against each other. The team should defeat the other using the specific gameplay set by each map. The whole match consists of 12 maps and each map is a stage. Recently, a group of straying players discovered a glitch that allows them to move across the entire Nepal map without waiting for the current stage to be finished.

Out of those 12 maps there are three 'control' maps and one of these three is the Nepal. There is no loading screen in the transition between the three 'control' maps. The game only locks the players and prevents them from accessing the entire map.

In order to access the restricted areas, players use the support hero, Mercy. The character has a passive skill named 'Angelic Descent' which slows the players drop to the ground when falling. Additionally, Mercy has a resurrect skill that revives fallen allies. Using this combo, two players can jump down a onto a brick wall. They will then jump into an open realm. This realm surrounds all stages. It is filled with ceilings, death planes, and sky boxes, Digitaltrends reported.

Players maneuver into a mountain where there is no collision detection. They will need to hug the rocky wall for a just a short time and then drop down to a targeted stage.

When down in the 'realm', the player can change character and be spawned there. For example, the player can change into Symmetra and teleport the entire team down there. Although, it will not benefit anyone, Gamespot reported.

Unfortunately, there is no real benefits to this 'glitch' except for accessing the area where players are restricted. The visiting players cannot interact with the control point so there is no use in camping on a stage before everyone else comes.

The only way to return to the populated area is to die so that the game respawns the hero to the current stage area. It also seems that Nepal is the only map in the entire library with a glitch.
