Microsoft Corporation made it known to the public that users who want to experience 4K with the "Xbox One S" Console need to download an update first.

If users will not do the required update, the console will not recognize 4K content out of the box, based on the report of Yibada.

The American multinational technology company said in a statement that a number of 2 terabyte "Xbox One S" consoles were handed over to fans in Norway prematurely thru a retailer before the launch date.

The representative of Xbox added that the first One S consoles that are up for grabs will be the 2 terabyte launch edition on August 2. In which upon start-up, users will start downloading the latest Xbox system update that enables 4K functionality, according to Stevivor.

"Xbox One S," which already considered to be the most advanced Xbox ever, will be unleashed to the public with added features such as 4K support for video, Blu-ray, as well as the ability to offer an HDR gaming experience to players.

"Xbox One S" also allows fans to watch Blu-ray movies and stream video in stunning 4K Ultra HD with HDR, that includes content from partners like the entertainment company - Netflix.

However, some gamers in Norway got their "Xbox One S" console early, but there were no explanations as to why these Norwegian gamers could not play a 4K Blu-ray of the superhero film - "Deadpool," Attack Of The Fanboy reported.

On the other hand, Microsoft has started rolling out the latest system update for the Xbox One and the Xbox app, and the company dubbed the update as the Xbox Summer Update. The update came along with a massive list of the latest features and improvements to the gaming console

The update includes Launch Of Cortana, Addition Of Background Music, Improved Game Collection and more, according to Tech Times.
