By

Mozilla restructured their Firefox for iOS to have faster load times and less battery consumption in their latest update.

Firefox has released an update for its iOS mobile browser that features improvements to its interface and a faster browsing experience.

The browser development team of Firefox 5.0 reportedly promises to have significant battery savings and quicker loading periods for their redesigned mobile browser. The updated version of the iOS app reduces 30 usage in memory and up to 40 percent of CPU usage, according to Mozilla's claims.

Aside from speed enhancements and power savings, a number of new additions has been seen on the apps main interface. For instance, mobile users can now have a quick access to frequently used features using the new menu on the toolbar. This menu is also modified to have an easier navigation to the other functions of the app.

Mozilla also introduce the "Undo" and "Close All Tabs" options to improve your Tab management and will become less frustrating when you are on smaller screens. Navigating open tabs and recovering them are now made easier for the users, Macrumors reported.

The mobile version of the Firefox web browser is free to download on both of your iPhones and iPads and is available online on the App Store, iTech Post reported.

Another feature from the updated Firefox 5.0 is that users can now set their desired sites as their homepage through the Home button located in the main menu. Plus, the new magnifying glass button enables users to search sites with the search box. It is found just above the keyboard.

According to some sources, the newest update of mobile Firefox iOS makes the search quicker for things in sites like Wikipedia, Amazon, eBay or other sites right from the apps address bar. Getting quick access to bookmarking and searching for texts in certain pages are made easier in the newly designed menu and also allows users to effortlessly navigate.
