'The Flash' Season 3 Spoilers: SDCC Trailer Confirms Flashpoint Timeline Featuring Allen's Mother Alive, Father Not In Prison; Black Racer Turns Out As Black Flash?

By

"The Flash" Season 3 San Diego Comic-Con teased the newest trailer of the series confirming the Flashpoint timeline, which revealed plenty of differences from Barry Allen's original universe. The return of Reverse Flash, the rise of Kid Flash and the introduction of Black Flash have also been noted in the season's trailer.

The Comic-Con teaser for "The Flash" Season 3 showed Allen living in the same little house with his mother alive and his father not in prison. However, his relationships with Iris West, Joe West and Cisco Ramon are markedly altered, Variety reported. Iris did not recognize him, Joe did not like him, while Ramon kept calling him a bean pole.

Eobard Thawne was revealed to be Allen's captive in "The Flash" Season 3 trailer, while Kid Flash was officially introduced. Kid Flash has his own nemesis in what looks like Black Racer. However, this may warn that Black Racer can be Black Flash in the season's twist.

Meanwhile, "The Flash" Season 2 ended with a major reboot in Allen's life and a new life for Nora. It has been reported that John Wesley Shipp will also return in the series at some capacity, Cinema Blend reported.

Jesse Wells and Wally West were also introduced in the "The Flash" Season 2. Both characters survived in the accelerator explosion. However, it was not made clear how each of their transitions went through into them becoming super-speedsters.

In "The Flash" Season 3, Allen will pick up three months in the Flashpoint timeline without realizing how much has changed. He was also unaware of what was going on at first. However, Todd Helbing, producer of the series, reassured fans that Allen and West will ultimately find each other in the timeline.

"The Flash" Season 3 is not all about the Flashpoint timeline. It is suspected that Dr. Alchemy is possibly wrecking a destruction in Allen's real timeline. The Flash will be challenged to fix his mistakes to save Central City once again.

"The Flash" Season 3 will return on The CW network on Oct. 4. Watch the SDCC Comic-Con trailer here.
