Samsung Galaxy A8 gets Android 6.0 Marshmallow update

Android 6.0 Marshmallow is currently hitting Galaxy A8 in India and soon it will be available for the other parts of the globe. Users who have devices running Android 5.1 Lollipop can now upgrade to a sweeter treat, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

The update requires storage space around 1,112 MB including all the goods in Marshmallow that make your smartphone even better. Google Now is one of the biggest changes in the Android OS as it gets smarter than ever in understanding what you need and where you are.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow also includes manual permissions setting on every app you download.

Battery-saving mode - Doze - is featured in Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update - making your Galaxy A8 smartphone 'live a little longer', Alphr reported.

Other features include new emoji set and Quick Launch Camera. The volume slider gets simplified and improved - giving the ease to either turn the volume up or put it in vibrate mode. Do Not Disturb option lets you completely silence your Galaxy A8 smartphone. Users can also expect a refreshed TouchWiz interface. The highly anticipated Android Marshmallow feature would be the integrated fingerprint reader.

Galaxy A8 is a Samsung phablet equipped with 5.7 inch display, Super AMOLED QHD screen, 16 MP rear camera and 5 MP front camera. Available in 32 MB storage capacity but expandable up to 256 GB. It offers 2 GB RAM, quad-core 1.8 GHz Cortex A53 GPU and battery capacity of 3050 mAh.
