During a live TV interview on Q13 Fox News, sitting next to "Now You See Me" co-star Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman fell asleep.

The 75-year-old Hollywood veteran repeatedly nodded off while Caine, 80, answered questions from the Seattle-based news anchors.

During the early-Wednesday-morning promotional interview with the two actors, Freeman struggled to stay awake.

Freeman opened the interview with a few remarks and once Caine started speaking, he closed his eyes lazily and opened them after a short period of time. Then a few clips from the film ran during the interview and when the camera returned to the actors, Freeman's head was hung, but after a few moments, he appeared to wake himself and re-focus on Caine.

To make matters even more awkward, the show's hosts Kaci Atchison and Bill Wixey ignored Freeman and instead kept chatting up Caine, who was apparently oblivious.

The station posted its own story on Freeman's catnap on Wednesday.

"Maybe he was up too late partying. Or maybe the 75-year-old actor woke up a bit too early to do local TV interviews," read the first sentence of the news brief.

But the short article just seemed to be written in good sport as it ended by poking a little fun at Wixey, one of the show's hosts.

"It's OK, Morgan. We all know Bill's voice can lull you into sleep."

Freeman and Caine star in an ensemble cast including Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, Woody Harrelson and Mark Ruffalo in the magic-heist thriller due out May 31.

The film centers on a group of magicians who call themselves the Four Horsemen, who rob banks during their magic shows and give the money to the audience in true Robin Hood fashion. In the making of the film, as noted by Atchison, actual magicians including David Copperfield, were consulted by the filmmakers to pull off the movie's tricks.
