'Doom 2016' DLC Pack With Free Multiplayer Modes Slated To Roll Out Soon!

By

Citing a spate of positive reviews from game critics, Bethesda Softworks divulged during the recent E3 2016, that the studio will offer a one-week free-to-play demo as part of their promotion for "Doom 2016."
Ardent fans of the first-person shooter will be treated to one week of Doom's reboot free on PS4, Xbox One and Steam.

The promo resembled the once, crowd-pleasing shareware demos on PCs. The teaser, on the other hand will only last for a week. Nevertheless, the promo is far more better compared to what other developers offer at the Electronic Entertainment Expo, Engadget reported.

But that's not all, Aside from one week of free play, Bethesda Softworks also unveiled the new expansion dubbed "Unto Evil" for "Doom" reboot.

The aforementioned DLC will encompass the classic deathmatch, multiplayer campaigns and all-new maps. Bethesda took the wraps off the new downloadable content during E3's opening; adding taunts, new multiplayer maps, a new demon, and a new armour to players' arsenal aside from a slew of other things. The expansion is slated to make an appearance within a couple of months, according to the publisher. To further enhance the multiplayer campaigns, two new modes dubbed Exodus and Sector, will be added. While Exodus is a capture-the-flag mode, Sector is a multizone capture mode.

There's more for the Doom's huge fanbase!

Free-for-all modes is also in prospect for the fans including the deathmatch, GameSpot reported.

In a bid to further enhance gameplay experience and functionality, "Doom 2016" level editor and SnapMap will receive new updates.

Although "Doom" reboot has often come under fire from fans for lack of uninspired story line, the science-fiction based video game has garnered praise for its chaotic combat and pure violence that characterise male power fantasies.

Although no official release date is yet associated with the upcoming free updates to the game, it is expected to be available sometime this summer.
