The "XCOM 2" Alien Hunters DLC will be released this month on May 12 as announced by developer Firaxis Games. The reception of the first DLC was highly regarded and so fans will be more excited that the "XCOM 2 DLC" will have more interesting content.

What's New In The "XCOM 2" Alien Hunters DLC Pack?

Firaxis' new "XCOM 2" Alien Hunters DLC pack will feature new missions, weapons and armor. The new DLC will also feature a new "Hunter's Lodge" update to the amrmory and three new "Ruler" alien units that players will encounter in the new DLC. The "XCOM 2" Alien Hunters DLC new class of aliens or Rulers will include Berserker, Viper and Archon, according to the game's website.

The Rulers class of aliens from the new "XCOM 2" Alien Hunters DLC pack will be more cunning than usual as they will have their own set of behaviors that players will have to watch out for, Polygon noted. If these aliens are not defeated on the first encounter, players will encounter them again in future missions.

For the weapons, the "XCOM 2" Alien Hunters DLC pack will allow players to wield the very damaging Bolt Caster, the ShadowKeeper Pistol that can conceal the player's in-game presence, the Hunter's Axe that players can throw at enemy aliens and the Frost Bomb Grenade that will freeze enemies temporarily. These unique weapons will have to be retrieved first after missions before players can use it. The "XCOM 2" Alien Hunters DLC pack will also feature a unique type of armor that will allow players to fly and called the Icarus 2 armor, IGN reported.

Additionally, the "XCOM 2" Alien Hunters DLC pack will also include new bug fixes, balance tweaks for both single and multiplayer modes and performance optimizations, iDigital Times shared. The company did not divulge the complete list of of issues in "XCOM 2" they are hoping to fix in the game.

To get the "XCOM 2" Alien Hunters DLC, players will need to wait until this month on the 12th for it to be released. They can buy it online for only $10. For those on a budget, they can get both the second game and the "XCOM 2" Alien Hunters DLC for $20 when they buy the "XCOM 2" Reinforcement Pack collection.
