The University of San Diego will host Nike Sports and Language program on its campus from July 7 through the first week of August.

US Sports Camps, the official operator of Nike Sports Camps has collaborated with the English Language Academy (ELA) to provide language assistance along with a memorable camp experience.

As San Diego is a popular destination for international campers, a demand for high quality language programs was felt.

"We are very excited to be able to offer a joint language and Nike Sport Camp Program at USD with ELA this summer," said  Colleen Bertiglia, director of international programs, Nike Sports Camps.

ELA already offers an intensive 14 week summer language preparation program at the university.

For the summer programs, ELA along with qualified professors will provide flexible schedules that coincide with Nike sport programs.

The Nike sport programs will include both golf and tennis programs.

International campers may join either one or two week English classes prior to or combined with their camp program. Students participating in the program attend half-day English classes and half-day sports instructions or afternoon activities such as exploring the local area and other added attractions.

With this summer program, USD joins a list of locations where combined Language and Nike Sport Camp programs are offered.
