Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Note 8 smartphone is said to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 836 processor. The Snapdragon 836 chipset is Snapdragon 835's improved version. However, the tech giant might launch its new flagship phablet in mid-August.

Samsung's highly anticipated flagship phablet will be available with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 836, which is an improved version of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835. The Snapdragon 836 is said to come along with a 740MHz GPU as well as a 2.5GHz octa-core processor.

The Galaxy Note 8 will reportedly be the first smartphone to arrive with Qualcomm's powerful chipset. Nevertheless, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 may roll out in mid-August, which is the same period that Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 7 last year, Android Authority reported.

The tech giant has traditionally unveiled the Galaxy Note lineup at the IFA conference in Berlin, which transpires in September, until the Galaxy Note 7 bucked the trend last year. However, tech enthusiasts and experts are anticipating that the South Korean tech titan would take extra time in unleashing the upcoming Galaxy Note 8 to ensure the launch will not have a hitch.

In spite of that, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is expected to feature a 13MP dual-lens camera system and a 6.4-inch dual-edge curved display. The Galaxy Note 8 may not be running on Google's latest Android O and will likely be available with Android 7.1.1 Nougat at launch. In terms of the price, the Note 8 smartphone is expected to have a $900 price tag, Phone Arena reported.

In addition, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 phablet is said to arrive with an Infinity Display, which is already featured in the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. It is likely that the Galaxy Note 8 will also ditch the physical Home button. But, Samsung's upcoming flagship smartphone will have an 18.5:9 aspect ratio.
