Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2017 event is just around the corner, and one of the anticipated devices that Apple will launch is the iPad Pro 2. The much awaited iPad Pro 2 is expected to come in two different variants. Nonetheless, the tech titan is said to discontinue the iPad Mini.

The Cupertino based tech giant is expected to release two variants of the iPad Pro 2, the 10.5 inch and 12.9 inch models. Both Apple devices are anticipated to be packed with the same power and durability. However, an all-screen iPad Pro 2 could pave the way for the iPhone 8, a handset expected to be available with the same concept display, Blasting News reported.

The iPad Pro 2 is expected to be available with an A10X processor, a smart connector and a Magnetic Pencil. The upcoming Apple tablet could come with a Touch Bar. The iPad Pro 2 is also anticipated to be up for grabs with a 12MP iSight camera with features that include a Live Photos and a 4K video recording.

The said tablet is said to ditch the 3.5 mm headphone jack. There is no official announcement on how many iPad Pro 2 models could be available.

Meanwhile, if a person prefers Apple's iPad Mini, there might be some bad news for that. Apple might discontinue the iPad Mini. A source close to the company claimed that Apple could phase out the 7.9-inch tablet. It is also unclear if the tech titan will keep selling the iPad Mini 4 without further updates or if it will take the device off shelves, BGR reported.

The news comes after the tech company discontinued the iPad Mini 4 32GB variant earlier this year when it released the new iPad 9.7-inch variant. There's not much talk about the iPad Mini 5, which could indicate that the iPad Mini 4 could be the last of its kind.
