The City of Troy is looking for a shuttle driver and two paid internships in the city manager's office and the department of public works. All jobs are part-time and the pay would range from $10-$15 per hour.

The city's latest project, the Big Beaver Trolley was made for the Move Across Troy initiative, it connects the amenities on Big Beaver Road for Troy residents and vistors. In line with this the shuttle driver will help make those connections by through courtesy transportation and welcoming riders. Part of the task is to effectively communicate stops and safety information and answering questions in a friendly manner.

Troy officials said that among the three job positions, the shuttle driver is the highest paying job at $12-$15. The position is slotted for 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

According to The Troy Patch, the internship is a management assistant job is part of the Next Professional Development Program that will require to work up to 35 hours per week and earn $10-$12 per hour. The assistant tasks will be with city leadership to develop and recommend alternative solutions to community problems, to plan and develop new programs to meet future needs of the city and prepare the annual budget, among other duties.

The DPW assistant will be tasked to conduct a variety of marketing and communications activities. Developing literature to be utilized in the newsletters production, pamphlets, flyers, brochures, and social media posts are examples of the duties of the DPW assistant. The position will require work up to 20 hours per week and earn $10-$12 per hour.
