Apple hardcore fans haven't seen any significant upgrade coming to MacBook Pro lineup but this year could be the time for a perfectly sculpted notebook. The precise specs of MacBook Pro 2017 are still obscure but analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes that this year would be notebook's major overhaul. Indeed, Tim Cook's statement could corroborate this.

During the annual shareholders meeting, Tim Cook lightly hinted that the MacBook Pro 2017 will have its utility functions upgraded. It can be argued that this year's Mac Pro will not only get a faster processor but Apple will most likely to bring more features to the laptop.

The overhaul seen in the current MacBook Pro is the Touch Bar. As for the rest specs under the hood, Apple seems to use a rather old hardware setup. Instead of Kaby Lake, the Cupertino giant opts for a Skylake processor. And instead of leveling up the RAM space, the MacBook Pro sticks with 16 GB.

Phil Schiller who responded an email from MacRumors said that 32 GB is inefficient for the notebook as it would consume more power. From this point, it is safe to assume that Apple is prioritizing the MacBook's battery quality instead of going big with numbers. It is plausible for the next iteration to run more than 10 hours.

This year, the MacBook Pro 2017 is likely to use the seventh gen core from intel, the Kaby Lake. That being said, by the time Apple launches the Pro, it will be outshined by other fast-machine laptops sporting Intel's next-gen chip.

However, it may not be a problem for Apple as its MacBook Pro is already the fastest in line. With Apple optimizing the utility area, the MacBook Pro 2017 will have its Touch Bar supporting more professional features. In fact, Microsoft Office for Mac is already integrated with it, according to 9to5Mac.

The fans might see MacBook Pro 2017 sometime in October this year with refreshes on the graphics and processor.
