BioWare's "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will no longer feature Paragon and Renegade conversation options. The change, however, was done in good faith.

Marc Walters, the game's creative director, said that Paragon and Renegade were no longer available due to Commander Shepard's removal after being the trilogy's main protagonist. Walters told Official Xbox Magazine (via GamesRadar) that the conversation options were "very tied" to Shepard and "they didn't really make sense if we weren't going to have Shepard as our main protagonist."

Players usually choose Paragon or Renegade in the game, but the developer wants them to be immersed in a system based on "agreeing and disagreeing." The new system encourages players away from binary moral options while pushing them to pay closer attention to the conversations and pick dialog choices that suit their character more.

Added Walters, the agree and disagree system "changes by the circumstance and it changes by the character you're talking to." The new conversation option also comes with four varying tones of voice.

With the four different voices, players can express themselves in "one of four different ways, and sometimes one of two different ways." This way, players aren't just confined to good or bad angles but focus more on self-expression, which is akin to the traditional role-playing of old games.

With Paragon and Renegade's removal came the re-introduction of loyalty missions first seen in "Mass Effect 2." Walters said that loyalty missions didn't fit with the tone of the third installment but in "Andromeda," it will help players familiarize themselves to the new characters and form a bond with them, GamesRadar reported. The loyalty missions will not revolve around conflict, but will instead focus on the new characters' back stories and why they went to Andromeda.

BioWare recently unveiled highly detailed "Mass Effect: Andromeda" character kits for Cora Harper, Liam Kost and Peebee that players can zoom into at multiple angles. You can check out close-ups of the characters' face, head, arm and hand details, leg shots, color info and textures.

The Peebee kit comes with detailed shots of her revolver named the Sidewinder. Peebee has an impulsive and quirky nature -- qualities that set her apart from the rest of the group. BioWare promised to release more character kits in the near future, so watch out for that.

"Mass Effect: Andromeda" will be released on March 21 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Are you in favor of the removal of Paragon and Renegade? Share your thoughts below!
