Android 7.0 Nougat has just rolled out to Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge handsets. In this regard, latest rumors suggest that Samsung is working on another build for Android 7.1.2 Nougat to be rolled out to Galaxy S7 handsets right after Google Pixel phones received the update. Android 7.1.2 Nougat for Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge

Just recently, Google has released the newest version of their mobile operating system the Android 7.1.2 Nougat where it is automatically available to Google Pixel phones, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P and Pixel C tablet. In this regard, Samsung is rumored to have started testing the latest beta for Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge handsets.

However, logic-wise, Samsung has just started releasing Android 7.0 Nougat to the two premium handsets and it was extremely delayed due to the fact the company has to do series of software testing to do away with bugs according to Express. Sony and HTC have also experienced delay in rolling out the update because they have to include their own apps, skins and services.

Meanwhile, every Android users are hoping to receive Nougat before the release of another version of mobile operating system during I/O developers' conference in May at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View California. Android Nougat-powered devices will be outdated then after the release of the rumored Android "O".

Android 7.1.2 Nougat Most Notable Features

One of the features of Google Pixel phones that standout is the "Swipe Notification" which is now going to be available to handsets that are upgraded to Android 7.1.2 Nougat. According to Gadgets NDTV, this feature is expansion to the interaction of the device's fingerprint sensor.

Users should go to the device's Setting Menu, select Move and enable the "Swipe Notification" functionality. Through this feature, users are now able to open the notification panel even without doing it through the device's screen.
