"Star Wars 8: The Last Jedi" fans are freaking out as Luke Skywalker's death broke out. What caused the stir is a revelation of the "Star Wars" episode 8 official title "The Last Jedi." Director Rian Johnson revealed that "The Last Jedi" has built up inspiration from the past films.

Who Is The Last Jedi?

"Star Wars" fans are vaguely asking who the last Jedi could be. According to Time, Mark Hamill just hinted that "The Last Jedi" installment could be the last time he is playing the heroic character. Which, in all reasons and speculations at hand, suggests that Luke Skywalker could actually be the last Jedi being groomed for the "Star Wars 8."

What Does It Mean In Star Wars 8?

Meanwhile, Johnson shared to Instagram the ending crawl for the "Star Wars 8: The Last Jedi," Cinema Blend wrote. This in return sparks a supporting theory the Luke is actually the last Jedi. In fact, Luke Skywalker is actually the last Jedi until "The Force Awaken" in Rey. Going back in episode 7, Snoke referred to him as such while Yoda mentioned that Luke will be alone in return of the Jedi.

Moreover, it has never been cleared whether Jedi is a singular or plural form. This discrepancy births to even more theories which all sounds believable. For example, the last Jedi could be Rey which Luke has trained the same way Master Yoda trained him making her the last Jedi contender. Another one is Kylo Ren's awakening and might actually come back in the light side to train Rey.

Or maybe be Princess Leia as a tribute to the dearly departed Carrie Fischer. There are tons of possible answers but the truth should come when "Star Wars 8: The Last Jedi" is launched on December 2017 in theaters worldwide.
