Hardware maker Dell is going after the budget-conscious gamers who want to play the latest AAA titles, but don't need high-end VR hardware. Dell latest updates to the Dell Inspiron 7000 series (7467 and 7567) comes at a decidedly budget price and doesn't skimp on features that can be found in most high-end gaming notebook.

The new Dell Inspiron 15 7000, which is less than an inch thick, could strike an ideal balance between performance and price. This new gaming beast promises great frame rates for under $1000. Pricing starts at a very reachable point, $799.

According to Digital Trends, the new Dell Inspiron 7000 features a red and black design along with a 4GB of GDDR5 main memory, a 4K UHD display and a massive hard drive (which can range from 512 GB to 1TB). It also sports a 15-inch 1920 x 1080 screen that uses Nvidia G-Sync display technology. The machine is designed primarily for players who want to experience something more than a game console but are price sensitive.

Powering the new Dell Inspiron will be a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 graphics chip and a quad-core 7th Generation Intel Core i5 processor (previously code-named Kaby Lake).

Gamers also get a whopping 4GB of RAM and a 1TB 5,400 RPM. That's enough to hit 60 fps at full HD on high settings in most modern games. And if gamers still want a little extra boost here, it can always upgrade to a 4K display, a more powerful Intel Core i7 CPU, and a Nvidia 1050 TI GPU.

The new Dell Inspiron 17 7000 gaming notebook will be made available this year, starting Jan. 5. According to Windows Central, the Dell Inspiron will be offered in two variants, the 14-inch 7467 or 15-inch 7567.

In addition to the newly upgraded Dell Inspiron, Dell also introduced three new gaming laptops, the Alienware 13, 14 and 15. According to Dell, the Alienware 13 is the first 13.3-inch laptop that is ready for virtual reality gaming.

Powering this new gaming machine is a quad-core H-class 7th Generation Intel Core processors and more powerful Nvidia's GeForce GTX 1060 graphics chip. The Alienware 13 will sell for $1,000 and the 15-inch version sells for $1,200, while the 17-inch Alienware will sell for $1,349.
