Most fans and avid gamers alike will be pleased to know that they will be able to relive and experience again a bit of nostalgia by playing some of their beloved Nintendo 64 games in the Wii U. As such, these same fans can experience playing the "Pokemon Snap" game via the Wii U's virtual console. Moreover, gamers who have already purchased "Mario Kart 64" on the Wii can easily purchase an upgrade to transfer the game to their Wii U consoles, according to sources.

It was previously reported that fans might be able to see some GameCube games being ported to the latest Nintendo consoles via its virtual console, University Herald reported. From "Super Mario Sunshine" to "Super Smash Bros. Melee," it seems that the virtual console have been bringing back some of its popular old titles.

As such, recent reports have shown that the company is now hauling in some of its Nintendo 64 games with the likes of "Pokemon Snap," Polygon has learned. It was stated therein that the game will be available on the Wii U Virtual Console starting on the fifth of January.

Furthermore, it was said that the Wii U Virtual Console version of "Pokemon Snap" was already available in Japan and Europe a few months ago, and is now being released to the North American region for the price of 9.99 US dollars, which is similarly priced on its Wii Virtual Console iteration.

Despite the fact that "Pokemon Snap" was also made available to the Wii Virtual Console, there is a starking difference with its Wii U Virtual Console counterpart, namely the on-rails photography simulator allows players to make use of the joystick to control the focal point of their cameras that proves to be more than fitting for motion controls.

On top of this, it was also reported that fans who have previously owned the "Mario Kart 64" on the Wii Virtual console can also experience the game on the Wii U by simply making an upgrade, Attack of the Fanboy reported. It was said that fans can simply transfer the game on their Wii U by upgrading for a discounted price of 2 US dollars.
