The new year brings new challenges, new opportunities, and new topics to talk about. This 2017, you might find you and your friends talking about things which you might not have even considered last year. Here are four of these topics you might catch yourself discussing with a group of friends.

Donald Trump

Whether you like it or not, Trump has won and in a few days, he will be sworn as the next President of the United States. Therefore, starting this year (it must have even begun last year for some) more and more conversation will center about President Trump and his policies, his works, and his antics. The most interesting might be what would be his next tweet. It will also be common that as the months pass by, you will be desensitized and accept that you have gotten used to him.

Electric Car

In the past, the cars that dominate the conversation were Mustangs, Rolls Royce, Ferrari, Porsche, and so on. In 2017, however, men and women will talk about which electric car one is using. It will be normal when someone asks another if they are driving a Tesla S model. Much later, the dominant mode of transportation will be driverless cars.

Nintendo

Yes, Nintendo will be back again starting with Super Mario Run and this year, they will launch the Nintendo Switch. The conversation will mostly revolve what the next Nintendo model be on mobile and with regards to Switch, they will judge whether it is a worthy opponent or here ends Nintendo's dream to dominate the console world once again.

The Internet of Things

The conversation will not just revolve around how good the Internet of Things is but also on the bad side. Remember in October 2016 when a DDoS (distributed denial of service) attack shut down access from social media sites in the East Coast. According to the news, the attack happened when hackers took over online devices, such as TVs, refrigerators, and phones, and launch the attack.
