None other than Sylvester Stallone who has revealed that the film would be shooting soon confirms a fourth installment of "The Expendables" is in the works.

On Dec. 31, Stallone took to Instagram with a video post announcing the "Expendables 4" is on its way, saying that the movie is going to be different and great. According to CinemaBlend, what people care about is who will be in the movie.

Accordingly, aside from Stallone, Jason Statham, and Arnold Schwarzenegger is confirmed to be returning in "Expendables 4." It is also expected that Terry Crews, Randy Couture, Dolph Lundgren, and Jet Li, who have been in all "Expendables" movies, will reprise their respective roles.

Other notable cameos from past films include Bruce Willis, Harrison Ford, Wesley Snipes, and Chuck Norris. However, this early, it is still a guessing game who will make it in the final cut. Fans are also clamoring for Jackie Chan to be included in the film.

The Hollywood Reporter broke the news in a report that included "Home Again" and "Winchester" would be part of the Splendid Films acquisition deal. The German group has found the "Expendables" film franchise to be good for the Cologne-based film distributor. The first three movies in the franchise earned close to $30 million in combined revenue at the German box office alone.

Even though "Expendables 3" earned a measly $39 million in domestic box office sales, it fared better in overseas sales raking up to $167 million in total. Not much information is available about "Expendables 4" yet aside from the fact that it would start filming soon with a reported budget of around $100 million and a target release sometime in 2018, according to ComicBook.

Furthermore, it is reported that the end of the movie series in "Expendables 4" does not necessarily mean the end of the franchise. Reportedly, "The Expendables" is one of Lionsgate's properties that are being consistently talked about to be given a TV treatment.
