Fans excited for a Paige (Katharine McPhee) and Walter (Elyes Gabel) hookup on "Scorpion" are in for a huge disappointment. The duo will not be in a relationship soon even though Tim, Paige's boyfriend, is out of the picture.

The recent episode of "Scorpion" Season 3 showcased Tim (Scott Porter) moving to Jordan for another job because he feels unwelcome in Team Scorpion, mostly by Walter's doing. In a recent interview with TVLine, executive producers Nick Wootton and Nick Santora said that Paige would display animosity towards Walter for his role in Tim's departure.

According to Wootton, Paige is "furious" at Walter during the second half of "Scorpion." In turn, Walter will feel bad about Tim and "tries to be sweet and kind to Paige with the purest of intentions."

"Scorpion" viewers know perfectly well how Walter tried to isolate Tim from Team Scorpion. One of Walter's antics was giving Tim his own office in an elevator. However, Wootton assured "Scorpion" fans that Paige will get to her senses thanks to an advice from her con artist mom (Lea Thompson).

Paige realizes that she has to heed her mother's advice if she wants Walter to "make any emotional headway." Wootton added that "interesting developments arise" once Walter attempts to be kind to Paige "without any ulterior motives."

Tim's presence doesn't easily go away despite these hopes surrounding Walter and Paige's possible romance. Santora told TVLine that Paige and Tim will continue to have daily online video chats while he's in Amman -- this while Walter tries to make romantic moves on the apple of his eye.

Santora said that Waige fans need not lose their faith over their one true pairing because the duo is "the true relationship" of "Scorpion" and the show will definitely focus on that even though there are "occasional speed bumps" and the Tim tension continues to linger.

Episode 12 of "Scorpion" titled "Ice Ca-Cabes" will center on a desert mission where exploding shrapnel gravely wounds Cabe (Robert Patrick), SpoilerTV reported. To save his life, Team Scorpion preserves his body by freezing it. The episode airs on Monday, Jan. 2 at 10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT on CBS.
