Now that a brand new year is about to begin, people are beginning to jump up and down with the list of things that they want to do in 2017. While each person has their own sets of goals and resolutions they want to begin for the coming year, there are also some things and habits that need to stop. Especially the habits you thought all along were healthy but were actually not.

Don't get surprised but here are some of those things.

Eating low fat foods

If you are one of the million people who have been struggling to lose weight and resort to low fat food, then it's time for you to know that it does not work and it is not healthy. According to studies, low fat diet does not have much effect when it comes to losing weight. In fact, healthy fats are what we need in order to be healthy, so long as they are consumed in moderation.

Exercising too much

Exercise is healthy but too much of it is also not advisable. When you exercise, your muscles grow and in order to allow their growth, you should give your body ample time for rest. This will give your body the chance to be ready for the next physical activity.

Opting for artificial sweeteners in order to lose weight

According to studies, artificial sweeteners can cause weight gain. So instead of being able to shed some pound, it will even increase your chances of being obese and worse, suffer from diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

Eating egg whites instead of whole eggs

If you try to avoid egg yolks because they can increase your cholesterol levels, there's actually good news for you. A research suggests that cholesterol from the foods we eat does not really have a significant effect on your blood cholesterol so it means that you can now enjoy whole eggs for breakfast.
