Design and Build

Galaxy J7 Prime, Redmi Note 3 and K6 Note - all have metal body with Xiaomi's phone being the lightest of the three. As dual-SIM handsets, the flagships sport 5.5-inch screen - each with their own custom skin.

Fingerprint scanner is not a matter of personal preference, rather, the convenient way to use it. Galaxy J7 Prime has a front-mounted biometric reader whilst Redmi Note 3's and K6 Note's are placed at the back panel.

Internal Specifications

As far as the display is concerned, Redmi Note 3 and K6 Note flaunt IPS LCD display whilst Galaxy J7 Prime packs PLS TFT. Xiaomi's phone has the highest pixel density of 403 ppi.

When it comes to the RAM on board, Lenovo's flagship offers a huge space of either 3GB or 4GB RAM. Samsung does not bother to offer more variant than a 3GB RAM for either 16 or 32 GB of built-in memory. Xiaomi offers two Redmi Note 3 variants, 16GB/2GB and 32GB/3GB.

In the optics department, Redmi Note 3 packs 16MP/5MP cameras. K6 Note sports 16MP/8MP cameras and Galaxy J7 Prime has 13MP/8MP cameras. The three devices have no 'wow' factor in this department but K6 Note camera is specced the best. Trusted Reviews has learned that Redmi Note 3 struggles in exposure.

K6 Note is an obvious winner in hardware specs, given the huge storage, Android Marshmallow OS and better camera pairing.

However, users must take note that Galaxy J7 Prime offers a dedicated slot for memory expansion while the two competitors use SIM 2 slot. This should be a great advantage for those looking for dual-SIM phone that features expandable memory.

Battery

Redmi Note 3 battery packs the biggest capacity with its 4050 mAh battery, as listed in GSM Arena. The second place goes to K6 Note with 4000 mAh and Galaxy J7 Prime at the last spot with 3300 mAh capacity.

Price

Price-wise, nothing can beat the king of budget smartphone, Xiaomi. Redmi Note 3 comes as a clear winner by being the most affordable smartphone of the three.
