When Pharrell Williams gets his game on to collaborate with various artists, he gets his game on point. The artist says that musical collaborations are an education.

Pharrell Williams is a famous American singer, song writer, rapper and record producer. Before he became famous using his own name, he made up the record production duo with Chad Hugo in "The Neptunes." He was also the lead vocalist of N*E*R*D. In 2003, he took the leap and debuted his single "Frontin" and then released a solo album in 2006, titled "In My Mind."

Fast forward a few years later, he now owns his own media company that ventures into entertainment, fashion, music and art. But he is notably coined for his musical collaborations, as reported by LA Times.

This accomplished producer is spending his time creating music with various artists. He has recently created the music for "Hidden Figures" an upcoming movie, as reported by Star Magazine. In this collaboration, he has worked with celebrated composers such as Hans Zimmer and Benjamin Wallfisch. The three were able to earn a Golden Globe nomination.

And this particular experience, according to Pharrell Williams, was an eye opener for him. He stresses that musical collaborations are an education. It allowed him to learn new ways of working, channeling and even gain new directions. To add to his revelation, the artist even said that life itself is an education.

For him, collaborating with other artists is a crash course into uncharted territories and learning. Aside from working on "Hidden Figures," he is also known for his collaborative work on "Happy" with other various artists. His musical work with Zimmer on "Despicable Me" is also another highlight in his career. In 2011, Williams collaborated with Adam Lambert and in 2012, he worked with Lupe Fiasco.

If these were not enough, he also collaborated with Miley Cyrus on her album "Bangerz" and had a hand in co-producing tracks from Frank Ocean's album.
