"Naruto Shippuden" Episode 486 focused on Sasuke's journey in trying to determine who abducted the shinobi as well as trying to uncover the mystery of the exploding humans.

The fight in the coliseum in the previous episode was going well when suddenly the human spectators instantaneously started exploding. Oyashiro, the arms dealer wanted to meet Sasuke in person to warn him that nefarious elements are after him who are determined to exterminate him.

Sasuke, in turn, asked Oyashiro if he knew of the attacks and if he knew who Fuushin was. Calmly, Oyashiro spilled everything he knew including the fact that he was part of Fuushin's guard unit but was banished from the Land of Water. Sasuke, a short time later meets Fuushin who was hiding behind an assumed identity, Nowaki, according to MobiPicker.

Culling from the last episode, we expect Sasuke further interrogates Fuushin about his plans. It is presumed of course that Fuushin would be in no such mood and a probable battle would ensue between the two.

It is also likely that "Naruto Shippuden" Episode 487 might touch on Sasuke's daughter Sarada. The spin-off "Boruto: Next Generations" had the young Sarada questioning his parentage. Aside from the pending battle between Fuushin and Sasuke, it is not yet clear if the identity of Sarada's birth mother would finally be revealed. Two likely candidates are being looked at Sakura or Karin.

It is speculated that Sasuke will perish in his battle with Fuushin where Naruto will meet Oyashiro on the way to Konoha where he will take Sasuke's body to Hokage Rock. Further speculations say that Naruto will initiate a grand funeral for Sasuke, one of the greatest shinobi Konoha ever had.

"Naruto Shippuden" will be the last episode for the series this year. The series will take a week off with the next episode "Naruto Shippuden" Episode 488 will air on Jan. 5, 2017, according to AnimeSouls.
