LG G6 is rumored to be a premium-build smartphone designed in a dramatically different way from the predecessors.

LG G6 Specs Configurations

Iris scanner

Rumor has it that LG G6 will be using an iris scanner to add another security layer to the device. The biometric scanner has been used in the Galaxy Note 7 and according to Android Authority, the technology could be integrated with a mobile payment feature.

Snapdragon 830

LG G6 is speculated to be using the latest chipset from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 830. The powerhouse has been mentioned a few times as part of Mi 6 and Galaxy S8 configurations. If the assumption will come true, LG G6 will have a considerably faster performance and smoother user experience than its older sibling. The Snapdragon SoC will likely be paired with 4 GB of RAM

OLED Display

Although there has been report on LG's difficult effort in opting for OLED panel supply, there is a great chance that LG G6 will flaunt an OLED panel just like the rumored Galaxy S8.

This does not corroborate the recent report from Trusted Reviews that has indicated that LG may not be using the panel for G6. However, everything is plausible at the moment as there is still no official word from the South Korean giant.

Tech analysts have speculated that LG could bring a curved display to the G6 as well.

Waterproof Chassis

David Ruddock from Android Police has spilled out a few details on LG G6 specifications, including a 'highly reflective metallic' back panel. This means that the G6 may not come out as an average flagship - especially if the modular system plan is still a go. The G6 will adopt a waterproof adhesive similar to iPhone 7's, according to KnowYourMobile.

LG G6 is rumored to run Android Nougat out of the box, sport fingerprint scanner and the latest Corning Gorilla Glass.

LG G6 Release Date

Reports point towards a February release date at MWC 2017 event.
