A recently leaked image shows off Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) with a brand new design - looking more like the premium Galaxy S7 instead of its predecessor.

A recent leak has surfaced, showing off an alleged Galaxy A7 (2017). The newest midrange addition in the Alpha series is tipped to be released in early 2017 as it has earned Bluetooth and FCC certifications.

The leaked image was supposedly meant for internal materials, according to GSM Arena. It shows the Galaxy A7 design from the front side - which looks pretty much like a Galaxy S7 but larger. There are two devices in the pictures, the black and gold variants.

The most attractive part of this upcoming iteration would be its IP68 certification. This marks the first A device to feature water-resistant chassis, PhoneArena reported. Galaxy A7 is rumored to sport 16 MP cameras on its front and rear sides. This configuration reminds us of Oppo F1s, the selfie expert.

In previous leaks, Galaxy A7 (2017) is specced under mid-level category, rocking Samsung's Exynos 7870 chip and 3GB RAM. The handset will likely arrive in two models, 32 GB and 64 GB memory. The revamped A7 is rumored to be available in two display variants, 5.5 inches and 5.7 inches with AMOLED display 1080p.

The South Korean giant seems to be bombarding the mid-low market with slightly affordable handsets after Galaxy Note 7 fiasco. Last year, Galaxy A7 is priced around $340 and with the major overhauls coming to the 2017 edition, Samsung could increase the price of its predecessor up to $399.
