LG and Apple, in a recent collaboration, came up with two displays, one of which is the LG UltraFine 4K Monitor that is specifically designed to perfectly integrate with Apple's MacBook model that can also support the MacBook Pro.

LG UltraFine 4K Monitor features

The LG UltraFine 4K Monitor is a 21.5-inch display that covers 99 percent of the P3 color spectrum providing vibrant brightness and uniform color reproduction through its IPS panel. The LG Ultrafine 4K packs a screen density of 219 ppi delivering 4K at 4096 x 2304 native resolution, according to LG.

The LG UltraFine 4K Monitor has one of the best sounding integrated Rich Bass Speakers for its class. Integrated monitor speakers usually do not sound all that great but not with the LG UltraFine 4K. The monitor does not have physical buttons which mean control of the LG UltraFine Monitor is MacBook dependent on accessing various settings for the device including screen brightness and speaker volume.

The LG UltraFine 4K Monitor has four USB-C ports, one reserved for input that can also double as a charging port for your MacBook delivering up to 60 watts. The three downstream USB-C ports deliver up to 480Mbps transfer rate for your compatible devices and accessories.

LG UltraFine 4K Monitor impressions

Many users consider the look of the LG UltraFine 4K Monitor to be basic, some find it downright ugly. But the basic design gives it a clean polished look all dressed in matte black which shifts your focus on the screen itself while at work or viewing 4K content.

The LG UltraFine 4K Monitor is a breeze to setup with the MacBook it was designed for. Although there are still minor issues with newer USB-C interface, it is still easy to setup once you have the right cables and adapters at hand. Additionally, once you get the monitor up and running, the image and sound quality of the LG 4K UltraFine 4K Monitor will dissipate any reason for you to complain about.

LG UltraFine 4K Monitor special price and availability

The LG UltraFine 4K Monitor is retailing for $699.95 however, it is currently being sold at a discount for a special price of $524 for a limited time according to Apple. Shipping is normally from five to six weeks, however, some Apple stores might have them in stock where you can just pop-in and pick-up one on the go.
