"Alien: Covenant" drops another surprise as producers confirmed that the movie will be released three months earlier than scheduled.

Previously, "Alien: Covenant" was reported to hit theaters on Aug. 4, 2017. this seems to be immaterial for fans who just wanted to have the movie's next part; however, the recent tweet by the studio, 20^th Century Fox, on the "Alien: Covenant" poster hinted that the movie's release was re-scheduled on May 19, 2017. As such, fans got more excited over the news.

For those uninitiated, "Alien: Covenant" is a sci-fi horror film which is said to be the second prequel trilogy following Prometheus. We learned before from Collider that during Fassbender's interview, "Alien: Covenant" may have the same scope and focus as that of "Prometheus," but the upcoming film just got thriller, more exciting and lesser 'disastrous' film.

As a continuation of the movie predecessor "Prometheus," the much anticipated "Alien: Covenant" will deal about the people who descends on what seemed to be an uninhabited place, although they will later learn that they are not the only living creatures in the place when Fassbender's droid comes out of nowhere.

The latest announcement was also accompanied with a teaser photo of an alien. The caption which says "Run" seems to be saying a lot about what to expect in the movie.

The cast members for the upcoming "Alien: Covenant" film include Katherine Waterston who will portray the character of Daniels, Danny McBride who will be the captain and the returning Noomi Rapace who is the archeologist Dr. Elizabeth Shaw in "Prometheus" and the only survivor of the ship.

Polygon noted that the movies which will be simultaneously released and prospective rival of the "Alien: Covenant" includes "Baywatch," "Annabelle 2," "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul" and "The Nut Job."
