Samsung's upcoming iteration for its Galaxy series, Galaxy S8, is expected to feature big changes such as its display and screen variants. Recently, new details on its processor lead to Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 chipset, partnered with 6GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.

Earlier, Qualcomm and Samsung have confirmed a tie-up on its production with the Galaxy S8 being the first smartphone to sport the Snapdragon 835 chipset, as this new chipset continues to build a better functionality and improved utilization of network speeds on mobile devices.

Inquistr reported that the next-gen flagship's new processor will also feature the updated 64 autonomous Kyro 200 architecture that enables it to hold up to eight cores, with the four cores being larger ones.

Qualcomm's next flagship SoC Snapdragon 835 will be succeeding Snapdragon 820 and 821 chipsets, which was released earlier this year. The said chipset is a significant version as it stands as the first chipset to feature a 10nm process technology.

Following a recent report from Chinese publication Anzhuo, Qualcomm's latest beast designated as model number MSM8998, will sport an Adreno 540 GPU. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 is also reported to be equipped with the chipmaker's premiere modem, the Snapdragon Z16, which is capable of downloading speeds up to 1Gbps from cellular networks.

These improvements have not been officially released, though the Anzhuo leak stated that the Snapdragon 835 would feature up to 27 percent better performance and 40 percent less power consumption than its predecessors.

In addition, Samsung's head of its chip-making business, Jong Shik Yoon, released a statement referencing on the recent collaboration by Qualcomm and Samsung for the improved processor of Galaxy S8.

"We are pleased to have the opportunity to work closely with Qualcomm Technologies in producing the Snapdragon 835 using our 10nm FinFET technology. This collaboration is an important milestone for our foundry business as it signifies confidence in Samsung's leading chip process technology," said Yoon.

Aside from its efficient CPU and processor, the Galaxy S8 is also expected to feature a dual-rear camera setup on the larger model, along with a pressure sensitive display designed to replace the physical home button and capacitive keys.

University Herald reported that Galaxy S8's specs includes a 5.5-inch screen display with 4K resolution, two screen variants, a "Force Touch" technology for zooming and creating app shortcuts, an enhanced digital assistant named "Viv," S Pen support, Android 7.1 Nougat and 12MP/13MP rear and front-facing camera.

Samsung normally launches new Galaxy S devices at Mobile World Congress every February, but a recent report claimed the Galaxy S8's unveiling could be pushed back to April.
