With only a few days left, fans and gamers can witness the awarding and recognition of those who have designed the best titles in the gaming industry as the highly-anticipated The Games Awards 2106 kicks off on Dec. 1. However, it was reported that for this years awarding, two games were suddenly dropped from the list in this year's Games Awards. Moreover, it was recently announced that fans can witness "Zelda: Breath of the Wild" during the awarding ceremony, according to sources.

It was previously reported that two games were dropped from the "Best Fan Creation" category at this year's The Game Awards 2016, University Herald noted. It was said that "Pokemon Uranium" and "Another Metroid 2 Remake" have disappeared as nominees vying to win the "Best Fan Creation" award.

As such, Geoff Keighley went on to discuss to fans as to why the category was taken out in this years Game Awards. During an online stream via Twitch, Keighley (creator and host of The Game Awards 2016) explained to fans that the reason behind it was because they couldn't get the clearance needed to feature both "AM2R" and "Pokemon Uranium" at the ceremony, Nintendo Everything reported.

He went on to explain that it was already clear to them that they won't be able to obtain the proper clearance from Nintendo when both of the fan games were announced as nominees for "Best Fan Creation" in this year's Game Awards.

Moreover, if both "AM2R" and "Pokemon Uranium" remained to be represented in the category, it would put the whole awards show at risk of being taken down.

In other news, fans can be delighted as Nintendo America recently announced via a post on their Twitter account that "Zelda: Breath of the Wild" will be featured in the upcoming Game Awards 2016 this Dec. 1, IGN reported.

That being said, fans can check out a few teaser photos of the announcement courtesy of Keighley's tweets.
