Cyber Monday is here and there are a lot of deals that students should be excited about. This is one of the best times to get an upgrade on your laptop, computer or smartphone.

USA Today reported that about 122 million Americans are expected to log onto their computers, smartphones or other mobile devices to check out the bargains from different retailers. This figure has gone up by 1 million from a year ago, as per the National Retail Federation forecasts.

"Millions of consumers shopped over Thanksgiving weekend and reserved a portion of their budgets exclusively for Cyber Monday," NRF CEO Matthew Shay said in a statement. "There will be digital deals that are too good to pass up."

The publication noted that Cyber Monday is being encouraged by the customers' appetite for cool electronics. Traditional retailers such as Walmart and Target are also intent on seeing more sales from the Internet.

Forbes has listed some of the best deals provided by retailers such as Amazon, Best Buy, Target and Walmart. Some of the best things to buy this Cyber Monday are products like the Amazon Tap, Amazon Echo, Kindle Voyage, PlayStation 4 Pro or PlayStation Slim and Samsung Ultra HD TVs.

In a report by USA Today College, the publication shared tips on how students can save money during Cyber Monday. The first tip: don't buy something that you don't need or want. You don't need to buy something just because it's a holiday.

Second is looking for the deals which give the best savings. Research is important so that you can stick to your budget.

Third, check out inexpensive gift ideas. A lot of people buy Christmas gifts for their loved ones on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. For college students on a tight budget, choosing cheap but emotionally-charged gifts may be the best option.

It also helps to make a list of the gifts that you want to give to everyone. Fourth, compare deals from different retailers. There are comparison websites such as Pricegrabber and Shopzilla that can help you with this.

Lastly, increase your savings with online coupons, deals and apps. Check for online codes and coupons you can use before completing a purchase.
