iPhone 8 OLED model to sport 5.1-inch to 5.2-inch screen

The speculations on Apple iPhone 8 build up day by day even when it is still a long way to go before the release next year. Analyst from KGI Securities Ming-Chi Kuo has claimed that the iPhone 8 will adopt up to 5.2-inch OLED screen. The speculation is based on the result of the curved screen design. Diagonally, the screen measures 5.8 inches but the actual 'active display' cannot be more than 5.2 inches, BGR has learned.

The rumor about iPhone 8 getting an OLED display has also been 'unofficially' confirmed by Sharp CEO Tai Jeng-Wu during his honorary doctorate acceptance speech at Tatung University.

iPhone 8 OLED panel is supplied by Samsung company?

Another interesting leak suggests that Samsung will be the sole provider of the curved screen. The $4 billion deal report indicates that the OLED panel is currently at production stage.

The tech geeks are now speculating whether the new iPhone 8 will appear similar to Xiaomi Mi Mix or Galaxy S7 Edge. It is also rumored that the iPhone premium variant could feature an iris scanner and wireless charging. Find out the details here.

The researcher went into the details by stating that Apple's premium iPhone 8 will be launched alongside two other variants sporting traditional LCD display. It will adopt 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch screens, MacRumors reported.
