Google Nexus phones and tablets have become the turning point of all Android devices during a certain period. However, when Google launched the Pixel phones, the premium phones eclipsed the Nexus line-up and suddenly become a thing from the past, which brought distress to the loyal fans, not to mention the announcement made by the search giant to discontinue the Nexus brand.

Good thing, it seems like Google is brewing something for the Nexus lovers as the most anticipated tablet called Google Nexus 7 (2016) is likely to be launch in 2017, but not under the contract of Huawei. According to GSM Arena, Huawei turned down the manufacturing contract offered by Google when they learned that the product will not be co-branded, which means, the device shall be named Pixel made by Google and no Huawei logo shall be included anywhere.

Of what was supposed to be launched in December has been put on hold. According to some reports, Google has considered another manufacturer of Google Nexus 7 (2016) tablet, the Chinese manufacturing company HTC, which expressed their excitement over the new project with the search giant.

In conclusion, Google Nexus 7 (2016) tablet has the highest possibility to hit the store shelves in 2017. According to PC Advisor, the tablet is expected to run the Andromeda OS, powered by Snapdragon 829 processor with Adreno 530 GPU, 64GB internal storage capacity and 4GB of RAM and 7-inch QHD AMOLED screen display.

Meanwhile, fans are waiting for the official announcement from Google and HTC regarding the release date of Google Nexus 7 (2016). As rumors suggest, the 7-inch tablet is expected to have a price tag around 199 pounds in U.K.
