MSI rolled out what is touted as the smallest VR-ready gaming PC that packs impressive specs including a customized MSI GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card.

Taking note of the inconvenience of lugging around a VR-ready PC just to immerse in a VR game is inconvenient, to say the least. MSI is offering a respite for this by rolling out the MSI Trident, touted by its manufacturers as the smallest VR-ready gaming PC.

The small form factor of the MST Trident is nothing to scoff at. Aside for the powerful customized MSI GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card, it comes with a choice of Skylake Intel Core i5-6400 or the i7-6700, according to Techreport.

The system is kept from overheating as the MSI Trident employs a special thermal management system called "Silent Storm" cooling. The system allows the tiny package to run at optimum performance without adding noise as well. The system is kept quiet for the design keeps the key components separated into chambers inside the machine, Slash Gear reported.

The customized MSI GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card also comes in 3GB and 6GB variants and is capable of playing blockbuster titles that are currently in the market and those that are coming next year. The MSI Trident features a pair of SODIMM slots that can handle up to 32GB of RAM though clock speeds are limited to 2133 MT/s.

An M.2 slot is provided to accommodate storage devices into the 2.5-inch drive bay. It is wireless capable employing 802.11 ac WiFi and by Bluetooth 4.2 adapter. To give it more flair, the designers also equipped the MSI Trident with an RGB Mystic Light lighting system that users can customize the lighting effects to whatever color they choose.

It is also VR-ready and users just need to run "One-click-to-VR" that optimizes VR with a press of a button. The front panel  has audio jacks, a USB 3.1 Type-C port. Two USB 3.1 Type-A ports, an HDMI connector.

No price is available yet for the unit but MSI said the MSI Trident is expected to be shipped in mid-November.
