The coming Xbox Scorpio Console will deliver true 4K video gaming experience, according to Aaron Greenberg, head of Xbox Games marketing.

Due to ship in the coming holiday of 2017, Xbox Scorpio will score one up against the Sony PS4 Pro that came out last week, by touting Xbox Scorpio will deliver true 4K resolution, announced Greenberg at the Xbox FanFest held in Mexico City.

"This will really bring the most powerful console you've ever seen," Greenberg said. "It will bring these really true 4K, really incredible visual games that we've never seen before on the console." He also acknowledged that high-end PC gamers have that experience by spending thousands of dollars on their machines.

The conundrum he presents is how to bring that experience down to scale in one's own living room? There is where the new Xbox Scorpio console fits in where he says all of Xbox Scorpio's first-party games will run in 4K, according to Gamespot.

Back in September, Microsoft Studios GM Shannon Loftis said that the Xbox Scorpio games would render natively at 4K instead of just being upscaled, USA Today reported. As of the moment, Sony's PS4 Pro reigns unequaled sporting a 4.2 teraflop computing power compared to Xbox Scorpio's six teraflops which Microsoft claim that it is the most powerful console ever made.

However, Microsoft referred to the upcoming Xbox Scorpio as a "premium device," so we can expect that it will not be coming in cheap. Sony's PS4 Pro came out last week with a price tag of $400, pundits estimate; however, the Xbox Scorpio would be 40 percent more powerful than the PS4 Pro.

Not knowing exactly the complete specifications of the Xbox Scorpio, we have to take the word of an Xbox executive that said the performance advantage of the Xbox Scorpio has over the PS4 Pro will be "obvious." Though the PS4 Pro is capable of running 4K, PlayStation president Andrew House, confirmed to DigitalSpy that most of the PS4 Pro's game titles would be upscaled instead of running at native 4K.

The Xbox Scorpio will have total backward compatibility with Xbox 360 and Xbox One titles, according to Xbox engineering lead Mike Ybarra. No titles will be left out or exclusive to Xbox Scorpio except virtual reality tiles, he added.
