General Mobile GM5 has been successfully launched just recently. The smartphone runs on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat but the price remains unlisted. General Mobile, however, guaranteed that the unit will go on sale this month.

Before it was made available in the market, the company has already provided the specs of the General Mobile GM5 on its official website. The smartphone flaunts a textured back design and metal edges, NGTV reported. The camera is situated at the center and both power and volume buttons sit on the right-hand side. Dual speakers are also available, USB port at the base, and the 3.5mm headphone jack is on the top edge.

Specs-wise, the General Mobile GM5 is equipped with a whopping, 5-inch HD display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The device is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset with 2GB of RAM under the hood. It offers 16GB built-in storage.

Furthermore, it sports an impressive, 13-megapixel main camera with dual-LED flash and a so-so, 5-megapixel front facing snapper. The camera features autofocus as well as 4x digital zoom. It comes in three colors; gold, black, and space gray, Gadget360 reported.

Meanwhile, the latest smartphone from General Mobile is designed for emerging markets, which include Greece, Luxembourg, Pakistan, Netherlands, Turkey, and more. It weighs 160 grams and measures 9.3mm, which is a bit chunky. A microSD card slot is also available for memory expansion.

Some of the connectivity options offered by General Mobile GM5 include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, FM Radio, and 4G LTE. In a nutshell, it is a rather basic Android smartphone, which is differentiated because it is included to the Google's Android One programme and is running Android Nougat out of the box.
