Sony has previously launched Marshmallow concept, and after receiving good feedback, the phone maker rolls out Nougat-based Concept.

Sony Xperia X users can be part of Sony's Concept for Android as trying the ROM enables them to experience the rich features of Android 7.0 Nougat. This means that the handset will be able to get pure Android experience like the one presented in Nexus devices.

Users must take note that the Concept is only available for single SIM with the number 'F5121' in European countries. Xperia X users can download the installer right from the Play Store.

According to Sony Mobile official blog, the Concept for Android includes a sneak-peek at the latest OS features. It will also include the split-screen mode and the change in notification orders.

Sony wants to hear from its users whether the Concept will make a better experience or turn out to be the opposite. Thus, Xperia X users can get access to inTouch Community, a channel to connect with Sony's software engineers and get updates from the current development.

Things to note before installing Sony Concept for Android on Xperia X

It is advised to perform a backup as the reboot will erase all of the installed and stored files in the phone. Users have to ensure that the handset is charged up to at least 80 percent as the installation requires energy.

Sony Concept for Android is actually a project since 2015, Android Central reported. The first launch offers a pure Android skin unlike the interface developed by Sony Mobile. It is still unclear whether Sony is planning to ditch its own UI and shift to Stock Android or it will just be part of the testing.
