Samsung has produced a dual-display Android flip phone in November last year and it is called the W2016, but it was exclusively distributed only for the Chinese market. This model gave customers another choice, despite its being less popular among the smartphone-infested tech market. After one year, Samsung announces the next generation of this model, and it is the W2017 that has a dual-display and a fingerprint scanner.

The Samsung W2017 is a dual-Sim phone, and Samsung's Chinese website has already listed this model but it seems that the company has no plans of releasing the unit abroad. The smartphone has a 4.2-inch Super AMOLED displays with a 1080x1920p full-HD screen resolution, has an OS of Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 820 SoC processor, and a 4GB of RAM.

The W2017 have a 12MP rear camera, and is equipped with an f/1.7 aperture and flash. It has also a support for 4K video recording, as well as a 5MP front camera that has an aperture of f/1.0. The Samsung W2017 is packed with a huge memory of 64GB built-in storage, and is expandable for up to 256GB. It has also a dual-sim configuration, along with a Wi-Fi 802.11ac, 4G LTE connectivity, Bluetooth v4.1, and a micro-USB port that also acts as a headphone jack, Gadgets reported.

It is packed with a 2300mAh battery that is expected to last for a standby time of 64 hours. It has an 'always-on' display, and can impressively allow fast wireless charging. It has sensors for heart rate, an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, magnetometer, barometer, proximity sensor, and gyroscope. Its price is not yet known however, but it is expected to cost for around CNY 20,000. This is a good rough estimate of its price, since the W2016 is prIced at only CNY 9,999, according to Indian Express
