NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is expected to roll out in the first quarter of 2017 along with the AMD Radeon RX 490. NVIDIA is reportedly manufacturing the next GPU with lower priced Titan X features. However, the company is also facing problems with the GeForce GTX 1080 that was reportedly captured on video engulfed in flames.

It is speculated that NVIDIA will roll its next graphics card, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti in January 2017.  Simultaneously, AMD is also preparing its next generation GPU. The AMD Radeon RX 490 features 8GB HMB2, 4,096 memory bus width, 716.8GB/s memory bandwidth, Base Clock of 1,200MHz with Boost of 1,550MHz running on a TDP of 225W and 9,830 GFLOPS Computing Power FP32, Digital Trends reported.

On the other hand, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is already being dubbed as the GPU with the power of Titan X. However, rumor has it that the GPUD will cost the same as the GeForce GTX 1080 which was launched with a $599 price tag, which is six times lower than the Titan X. Additionally, like the Titan X, NVIDIA's upcoming GPU has a 12GB GDDR5X memory with a memory speed of 10GB/s, 384-bit memory interface, 480GB/s memory bandwidth and 250W thermal design power.

In other news, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti may have to undergo several testing and fireproofing due to recent news that the NVIDIA EVGA GTX 1080 catches on fire. It is said that the voltage regulation modules in the EVGA GTX 1080 and 1070 cards are allegedly susceptible to overheating. It is speculated that there was a design oversight on proper cooling. Additionally, the extreme thermal conditions allegedly result in flames, WCCFTech reported.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti predecessor was also reportedly captured on video being engulfed in flames. The YouTuber Michael Duncan claimed that his EVGA GTX 1080 FTW had been working for a whole month without any notable issues when the incident happened. EVGA reportedly admitted to the lack of VRAM and VRM cooling and said that any damages are covered under the warranty. Watch GTX 1080 Ti Leaked Specifications [RUMOR]
