Sony has started rolling out bevies of new updates, packed with security patches and other changes to its Xperia XA Ultra and Xperia C5 Ultra brand of smartphones.

Categorically, the update pushed out for the Xperia XA Ultra comprises of Android security patch for the current month. In addition, the update includes a patch for an issue concerning the smartphone's camera ISO setting. Any sort of manual change made to ISO was not getting reflected earlier. Both variants of the smartphone i.e. single as well as dual SIM are receiving the update, which rolls out as firmware version 36.0.A.2.109 and 36.0.B.2.109, GSM Arena reported.

Meanwhile, the update extended for the Xperia C5 Ultra encompasses Android security patch for the month of July. There's no word on what other changes are set to roll out in the update. Nevertheless, several sources confirm that the said update will arrive bearing the build number 29.2.A.0.129 and 29.2.B.0.129 for both, single as well as dual SIM models of the device, respectively.

Fret not, those who have still not received the updates for their Xperia XA Ultra and Xperia C5 Ultra smartphones as OTA roll-outs usually takes some time to update all devices. Alternatively, users of the aforesaid smartphones can manually check for the latest update by heading to the devices' Setting menu.

It's worth noting that the waterproofing is exclusive to Japanese model, which is hardly surprising considering that Japan is Sony's home country. Moreover, Sony will not include the fingerprint sensor for American consumers.
