People are anticipating that the upcoming "Hello Again" event would be a venue for the company to introduce new non-iOS products, including the new Mac lineup.

Apple's "Hello Again" event scheduled for Oct. 27 have people expecting the introduction of new and long overdue hardware, but analyst KGI Securities analyst  Ming-Chi Kuo says to keep our expectations set for new laptops only.

Kuo notes that the flagship unveiling during the Oct. 27 event will be the redesigned MacBook Pro in 13-inch and 15-inch sizes, Slash Gear reported. The much-rumored OLED touch will be adopted also with a Touch ID sensor, Thunderbolt 3, USB-C, new butterfly keyboard design, an SSD Storage option of up to 2TB and Skylake processors from Intel.

Kuo also predicted that the units will still have the same panel resolution but with better display quality and energy efficiency achieved by employing oxide panels. Moreover, a Type-C and MagSafe-like adapter will be featured, wherein it could be rolled out either by Apple itself or by a third-party supplier.

Beyond the new MacBook Pro, MacRumors reported that Kuo also expects an updated 13-inch MacBook. The reliable analyst predicts that the device would be more likely a revamped MacBook Air rather than a larger iteration of the 12-inch MacBook. This updated 13-inch MacBook will sport USB-C, solidifying Apple's reliance on the new smaller port.

Users who are clamoring for updated iMacs with Display would be disappointed to know that though Apple is working on this new hardware, they will not be making an appearance at the event. Kou is, however, predicting that new iMacs and a new 5K Cinema Display will be announced within the first half of 2017, although he cannot say if Apple will announce the new hardware at the event.

"Hello Again" will be held at Apple's Cupertino campus on Oct. 27, Thursday at10:00 AM Pacific Time. Apple will have a live video stream of the event.
