The most talked-about MacBook Pro 2016 will debut on Oct. 27 and sales will immediately follow where a shortage in supplies is foreseen. Could it be possible that Apple means the shortage and is currently working on the next MacBook Pro version running Apple's proprietary chipset and not Intel Kaby Lake?

No MacBook Pro in 2017

MacBook Pro 2016 models are reported to run a Broadwell processor, contradicting the rumors about Intel Skylake. However, for the next version of mac laptops, Forbes reported that Apple will use Kaby Lake, Intel's 7^th Gen Core.

The next versions of MacBook Pro is said to be under development stage but they are not expected to be launched in 2017. On the other hand, it was previously reported that the next versions of MacBook Pros will use Apple's proprietary chipset but using Intel Kaby Lake processor is part of the tech giant's leap towards major overhauls in their portable machines.  

MacBook Pro 2016 is Catching Up

Everyone's attention is currently nailed on the upcoming MacBook Pro 2016 as the mainstream media like CNET said that the new laptop will have a new look, specifically slimmer, lighter and being equipped with a secondary screen above the keyboard.

While MacBook Pro 2016 appears to have a major overhaul physically, Forbes noted that the core hardware of the newest laptop is still playing catching up when it comes to efficiency and performance for Graphics Processing Unit or GPU. The new Mac will reportedly use AMDs Polaris for GPUs though.

On the other hand, while everything is ready for the launching of MacBook Pro 2016, an analyst said that the supply for the new Mac laptop is going to be tight. Late production has been pointed out to be the culprit of the said shortage, when it was initially thought that the production started around Q2 of 2016.

MacBook Air will also be launch together with MacBook Pro 2016 but OLED function bars will not be available for the Air brands. However, USB-C ports and Touch ID sensors will land in the refreshed MacBook Air.
