Samsung may have planned a major changes for its next flagship phone. While the tech company has not officially announced the successor to the Galaxy S7, which is expected to be named the Galaxy S8, a report surfaced on the internet and speculates that the next iteration will look a lot different.

Several of the alleged changes include the Galaxy S8 will have no physical home button, instead, the device will implement a home button function behind tempered glass or in the display. The front of Galaxy S8 will only feature the display, no buttons or even borders.

The smartphone will have a dual-camera set-up just like the iPhone 7 Plus. Rumors also claimed that the processor of Samsung Galaxy S8 will be a combination of a Exynos chip and Snapdragon 830, according to ET News.

However, getting rid of the physical button would let the South Korean tech giant fill the front side of the device with an edge-to-edge display that will not have any bezels. Galaxy S8 is still expected to have a distinctive attribute of a dual-curved display similar to the previous Galaxy phones, but the top and bottom bezels are said to go away as well, based on the report of BGR.

Device feature termination may sound familiar, for the reason that Apple Inc. is also rumored to remove the physical home button of the 2017 iPhone and place a TouchID fingerprint scanner under the screen of the smartphone. Apple is also said to launch a full-screen iPhone next year that lacks a home button, which corroborates the earlier report of New York Times.

Rumor has it that Apple's iPhone 8 will feature an OLED screen that will likely be manufactured by the South Korean tech monster. The Galaxy S8 is also expected to improve the screen resolution, in which pictures and videos are slated to look clearer and have some sort of 3D effect.
