Before the actor has been considered as one of the members of the cast of "Wonder Woman" it has been rumored that actor Chris Pine is going to play a lot of roles in the DCEU that includes the character of Hal Jordan in the next installment of DC's Green Lantern. But the moment he was casted for Gal Gadot's movie, Pines finally ended this rumor.

The actor is going to have his debut in the DC Entertainment on the solo "Wonder Woman" film. The film is directed by Patty Jenkins and the actor is going to play the character of Steve Trevor, who is a soldier at the first World War who is being washed on the shores of the home island of Diana (Gal Gadot) and managed to gain a very strong relationship with the Princess of the Amazon as they journey their way back to the real world, as reported by Screen Rant. As the trailer of the film showcases, it seems that one of the primary concerns of the film is this relationship shared by the two.

Pine denied the rumor on an interview done by The Huffington Post wherein he was asked whether he is going to play a number of seminal roles in the DCEU. He also shared that the experience he had acting with Gadot is quite inexplicable and that he actually had a good time.

Even if there are a lot of fans who are vying for the actor as the next "Green Lantern", it can be seen that the character of Pine in the film is a major role that may affect the whole characterization as well as the holistic impact of the standalone superhero film towards its audiences. Expectations are quite high for this film since it's the first female standalone superhero film in history.

"Wonder Woman" is going to hit the theaters on June 2 next year, "Justice League" will be on Nov. 17 and others are going to be announced soon.
