Maybe you were only familiar with her name when Donald Trump went on TV for 'The Apprentice.' Or maybe this is the first time you have heard of her since her father is a presidential candidate for the United States of America. But for most people, Ivanka Trump is famous for her own portfolio.

Born in 1981, Ivanka Trump has always been under the spotlight because of her father and mother. Her mother being a former model and her father a businessman and self-made millionaire. But she did try her hand at a normal childhood. In Manhattan, New York, she went to the Chapin School until she was fifteen years old. She was then transferred to the Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, Connecticut - miles from New York. She felt like it was a "prison," being far from her friends.

For her higher education, she attended Georgetown University, cites Seventeen. She was enrolled at Georgetown for two years then transferred to the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania. In 2004, she graduated as cum laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics. She specializes in real estate and hotel management. But before she joined the family business, she worked on her own and partners with other companies such as the Dynamic Diamond Corp. She designed a line of jewelry for her first retail store called 'Ivanka Trump' on Madison Avenue.

Now, she serves as the Executive Vice president of the Development & Acquisitions at her dad's company - The Trump Organization. Not focusing on her last name, she has her own line of fashion items and accessories. She is also known for walking the runways of Seventeen and Versace. She even campaigned for Tommy Hilfiger.

In 2012, the Wharton School at Pennsylvania University awarded her with the Joseph Wharton Young Leadership Award. The award was because of her early success in her career and having the "potential for leadership and lasting impact."
