Everyone has seen her grow up on television. She is now a spunky teenager entering college for her first year in 'Modern Family.' In real life, she is also doing the same. Ariel Winter is taking on University of California, Los Angeles for her higher education.

At one point, she says that "You gotta have something else you can do." She refers to something aside from acting. For Ariel Winter, it means going to school. She tells E! Online that she is interested in law which is why she is going to school.

While she has been acting for most of her teenage life, she does have her sights on education. She first entered the entertainment scene when she got a gig in a Cool Whip ad. She had her fair share of television appearances in known television shows like 'Monk,' 'Bones', and 'ER.' She also does animation voices. Born in 1998, the American actress is mostly known as the smart middle child Alex Dunphy in 'Modern Family.' But animation and television shows are not her only platforms. She also appeared in several movies such as 'Kiss Kiss bang Bang,' 'Speed Racer' and 'The Chaperone' in which she was nominated for a Young Artist Award as Best Actress in a Motion Picture back in 2012.

But she promises not to remain in the acting scene forever. In April 2016, Winter tried to enroll in the University of California, Los Angeles. She was then accepted by the school. Initially, she was supposed to start in the fall of 2016 but later on announced that she is attending UCLA in the fall of 2017.

She is a role model for young girls everywhere, especially with her role as Alex in the hit family comedy show. Now that she is actually going to college, it will be interesting how she is going to put her experience into the show.
