Just a few weeks to go before Halloween comes. Although many expect to see scary movies, however, there are two movies that have been pushed back.

If you've been waiting for "The Ring" sequel, this could be bad news as its release date for the third film has been pushed back. Aside from this movie, the "Friday the 13th" franchise release date was also moved.

Originally, the "Rings" sequel was due to be released in October, so it could tie in with Halloween. In a recent, the horror movie has been moved to February 3, 2017. This is the third time that the sequel's released date was moved, Variety reported.

"Rings" was also announced to be released Nov. 13, 2015, then moved to April 1, 2016, and then to Oct. 28.

Paramount debuted the first trailer of the horror movie in August. The trailer shows a spirit has caused a jet airplane crash, and the iconic scene of Samara, which she comes out from the television (this time, she comes out from the flat-screen TV).

F. Javier Gutierrez is directing "Rings," and the producers are Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald. Matilda Lutz portrays the role of the protagonist, Julia.

The sequel still centers on a cursed video, but since the sequel is set in modern time, the video is attached in an email. The protagonist of this upcoming movie is Julia. She received an MP4 file in her email. Just like the previous sequels, she received a phone call, then, someone from the other line said, "Seven days."

Meanwhile, another horror movie that was delayed is "Friday the 13th." Paramount delayed both "Rings" and "Friday the 13th" on the same day.

There is a report online that the cause of delay of "Rings" is to avoid direct competition with "Ouija: Origin of Evil," which will be released on October 21.
