You may know him as that guy with the funny face or that funny voice in movies. Paul Giamatti is a famous American actor and comedian known for his roles in "Big Fat Liar," "Straight Outta Compton" and even "Downton Abbey."

But not a lot of people know that he holds a bachelor's and master's degree from Yale University, according to KR CR Tv. Born in 1967, this veteran actor was a son of a Yale University professor and an English teacher. He took his primary education at The Foote School. Later on, he attended Choate Rosemary Hall. He graduated from Chaote Rosemary Hall in 1985. Afterwards, he enrolled at Yale University.

He had a colorful time at Yale. He was elected to the Skull and Bones secret society. He took notice of performance arts and he became an active undergraduate of theater. In 1989, he graduated from Yale University with a bachelor's degree in English. But he did not stop there. He furthered his English degree but earning a Master of Fine Arts degree from Yale's School of Drama.

He took his career to Broadway and theater. It was only until later that he dabbled in television and movies. Now, he is a critically acclaimed actor.

Do you watch "King of the Hill"? He voiced Mr. McKay in an episode titled "It's Not Easy Being Green."

He has been nominated for multiple Golden Globe awards and he also won a Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Supporting Actor. While many know him to voice and act multiple funny supporting roles, he is also known for his dramatic works such as "Cinderella Man," "Lady In The Water" and "The Illusionist."

At this point, his looks and voice can be deceiving. But don't let his funny guy act fool you. He has a Yale diploma both his parents are surely proud of.
